Boilers and heat exchangers are an integral part of any manufacturing facility, and in order to keep processes running smoothly and efficiently both need to run at their best everyday. This equipment is used in just about every manufacturing industry, some of which include: Waste water treatment, Wine-brewery industry, Food Processing, Textile Manufacturing and the Petroleum industry. In many industrial processes there is waste of energy or a heat stream that is being exhausted, heat exchangers are used to recover this heat and put it to use by channeling the steam to other processes. Controlling the temperature in the house can be difficult, especially during the heat of the summer.  And large picture windows or sliding glass doors can make it even more difficult due to the large amount of heat loss and gain that pass through them. The heat transfer through your windows can make it difficult to keep your home cool in the summer, and can significantly increase your power bill. Bridges are not only structural achievements meant to stand strong for decades, they are also in many cases works of architectural art which are breathtaking to view.  One recurring issue with bridges and any type of similar structure is that is needs protection from the elements. Corrosion is a large and costly expense, and one can endanger any structure, decreasing its longevity and potentially causing closure when repairs are needed. Nansulate® Translucent PT Coating offers a new way to protect against elements and prevent corrosive damage on bridges, and any other metal structure.

Steam pipes are a common sight in any industrial setting, they are integral to the performance of multiple systems from boilers and industrial dryers to food processing equipment. Keeping them insulated and protected used to take two processes that worked against each other. With traditional forms of insulation actually causing pipe corrosion, and thus costly loss and maintenance. Nansulate® Translucent High Heat coating was introduced as a new technology solution to this age-old issue. It is a single product that performs multiple tasks, two of which are insulating and preventing corrosion. Summer heat is on the way, and some homeowners are already feeling the pinch of higher energy bills while they try to keep homes cool. Keep your cool and keep energy costs down with a few easy tips to increase energy efficiency that take only a weekend or less. Make this summer your coolest ever and spend the money you save on summertime fun.

TIP 2: Use Mirrors to Reflect Light - Sounds simple and it really is just that. Use mirrors to reflect and spread light throughout your home, reducing your need for electric lighting. TIP 3: Turn Up Your Thermostat When Out - Going to be away for a few hours or days? Turn up your thermostat while you're gone. For each degree you raise it, you save approximately 1-3 percent in energy costs (According to the California Energy Commission), which can definitely add up over time and reduce your overall monthly bill.

TIP 4: Plant a Tree and be Made in the Shade - Let your landscape do double duty and help you save on energy costs. By planting a deciduous tree (those that shed their leaves in the winter) by the south and west sides of your home, you can shade your home from the summer heat and reduce cooling costs.

TIP 5: Insulate Your Water Heater - Unless your water heater's storage tank already has a high value of insulation, adding insulation to it can reduce standby heat losses by 25%-45%, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. This will save you around 4%-9% in water heating costs. You can easily coat your tank with the same insulating paint in Tip #1, and insulate both your home and water tank in one weekend.

Summer should be a time to get out and have fun, which you can do more easily when you're not worried about high energy bills. Take action now, and with a few simple tips you can cut costs this summer, and all year-round.
