Weatherize and Insulate Now to Reduce Energy and Maintenance Costs

Weatherization consists of insulating, sealing leaks, and protecting surfaces from exterior weathering, which can cause corrosion, cracking, and wear on pipes, tanks, and building exteriors. By taking some time to weatherize before the freezing weather hits, you can save energy and maintenance dollars.

Nansulate® Clear Insulation Coatings make it easy for your maintenance crew to paint exterior piping, tanks, ductwork, and building walls and roofs, to add thermal insulation and protect those surfaces from deterioration.

Weatherization Advantages:

- Thermal barrier / Insulation
- Reduces thermal bridging through studs
- Prevents corrosion
- UV resistance, protects from UV rays
- Moisture repellent, reduces moisture damage
- Clear, matte finish, keeps design intact
- Clear over pipes and ducts, allowing visual inspection and fast leak detection
- Non-flammable, water-based

Cost Saving Advantages:

- Only 0.53 cents per S.F. (for our PT or GP products) at a 3-coat coverage
- Easily applied with standard painting equipment
- Non-toxic, environmentally friendly
- Protects expensive equipment and infrastructure from weathering
- Lowers energy consumption by insulating and reducing heat conduction

Learn More:

Only $79.95 per gallon, and each gallon will cover 150 S.F. @ a 3-coat coverage, or 75 S.F. @ a 6-coat coverage.

Windows and skylights are notorious as gaps in a building's thermal envelope. These are often the cause of high heating and cooling bills, and because of the nature of the surface, have not always been easy to insulate while still allowing through visible light.

Nansulate® Translucent GP insulation coating is a popular solution for insulation of skylights and facility windows where total clarity is not needed. Nansulate® will give the windows a slightly 'frosted look', while reducing heat loss and gain. It also allows through approximately 92% of the visible light (as tested on pane glass) while also reducing glare and offering UV resistance.

The coating is easily applied to either the outside or inside window or skylight surface with a paint sprayer at a three coat coverage.

This is a quick and easy way to reduce heat transfer through windows and close those gaps in your thermal envelope.

Who has used Nansulate® for skylights or window insulation?

The Tampa Port Authority, Frost Art Museum, and Cornwell Quality Tools, just to name a few.

Cornwell Quality Tools in Mogadore, Ohio coated factory windows with Nansulate® for energy savings. This is what they had to say...

"Sirs, We at Cornwell Tools have been very pleased with the results of using the Nansulate material as can be seen by the attached emails... I believe that a considerable savings has been realized. The cost of the (Nansulate) materials was probably saved in the first cold month."

College and University facilities are enormous consumers of energy typically supplied by furnace generated steam.  The Department of Energy has published several reports regarding the remarkable steam energy lost by not completely insulating these massive networks.

In order to seal the insulation envelope of these systems, valves, traps, joints, reduction stations and many other difficult to insulate components need to be considered.
