Burn injuries can happen both on processing equipment such as steam pipes, hot tanks, and equipment, as well as on exterior railings in the summer, when the sun can heat surfaces up to 150-160F. Hot Surfaces up to 256F - Nansulate® Translucent PT offers a solution for lower heat surfaces, up to 256F, and can be used to reduce the chance of burn injury. A thickness of 6-coats (which is a dry film thickness of about 12 mils) can reduce hot outdoor handrails or playground equipment from 158F down to a very comfortable 117F.
How Do I Apply?
The coatings are easy to apply with a brush, roller, or paint sprayer, so they can be applied by your own in-house maintenance team. You can do the application in a day or two or over several days or weeks, doing a few coats at a time, to fit any maintenance schedule.
